Role:

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role. The Goldsmith Shop Manager is responsible for the overall success, efficiency, and quality output of the jewelry repair and custom design department. You will balance time at the bench with administrative and supervisory duties, ensuring that every piece—whether a simple solder or a complex custom build—is completed to perfection and on schedule.

• Leadership Impact:
  Oversee the daily operations of a high-volume professional shop and mentor junior goldsmiths.
• Strategic Partnership:
  Work closely with the sales leadership team to streamline the intake process and ensure seamless communication between the "front" and "back" of the house.

• Workflow Management:

  Act as the final authority on all shop output, ensuring every piece meets Koser Jewelers’ rigorous standards before returning to the guest.

  Lead by example with expert proficiency in platinum/gold work, advanced stone setting, and complex restoration.
• Inventory & Supplies:
  Manage shop inventory, including precious metals, findings, and gemstones; oversee the maintenance and procurement of shop tools and machinery.
• Training & Mentorship:
  Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching staff on new techniques and efficiency-boosting habits.
• Customer Consultation:
  Occasionally join sales consultants for technical "deep dives" with clients to explain custom design possibilities or complex repair requirements.

• Solutions-Oriented Mindset:
  The ability to look at a "broken" piece and find a technical path to restoration.
• Decisive Leadership:
  Comfortable making calls on job pricing, turnaround times, and technical feasibility.

  High attention to detail regarding job tracking and shop safety/cleanliness.

  The ability to translate "bench-speak" into clear information for sales consultants and guests.

  Expert-level hand-eye coordination for intricate work.

  Ability to use shop management software and inventory systems.

  Capability to balance standing, sitting at the bench, and moving through the store throughout the day.
