This position will be responsible for leading production employees, maintaining a safe and efficient operation, and ensuring the plant consistently meets production, quality, and food safety standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with experience supervising teams in a food manufacturing or food processing environment and a strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, and production procedures.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Plant Supervisor for our 2nd shift operations in the Manufacturing industry. This role is integral to our success, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production facility during the evening hours. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the plant operations, from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

This role requires a dynamic leader who can motivate and guide our team to achieve and exceed their goals.

Responsibilities
  • 1. Oversee daily operations of the plant, ensuring all procedures and processes are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • 2. Manage, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the 2nd shift team, including training, performance management, and scheduling.
  • 3. Ensure adherence to all safety and sanitation standards, including maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • 4. Collaborate with other departments to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • 5. Monitor production output and quality, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • 6. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on production activities and key performance indicators.
  • 7. Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • 8. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • 9. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that supports diversity and employee engagement.
Qualifications
  • 1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Agriculture, or related field.
  • 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a production environment, preferably in the food processing industry.
  • 3. Extensive knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations.
  • 4. Proven experience in managing and leading a team, with strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • 5. Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • 6. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and agricultural practices.
  • 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • 8. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • 9. Proficiency in using standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and industry‑specific software.
  • 10. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
