Job Summary
The Individual Giving Officer is responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow revenue from individual donors. This includes managing a portfolio of current and prospective donors, cultivating relationships, soliciting contributions, and ensuring high levels of donor engagement and retention.
Key ResponsibilitiesDonor Cultivation & Stewardship:
- Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of individual donors and prospects.
- Develop personalized engagement plans to deepen donor relationships.
- Conduct donor meetings, phone calls, and personalized correspondence.
- Craft and execute annual fundraising plans targeting individuals.
- Make direct solicitations and coordinate appeals (mail, email, online).
- Set and achieve revenue goals, in consultation with ED, for individual giving.
Database Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate donor records in current CRM system.
- Track interactions, pledges, gifts, and communications.
- Analyze giving trends and prepare regular progress reports.
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team to develop compelling donor communications.
- Partner with ED and board members to support donor engagement efforts.
Events & Campaigns:
- Plan and execute donor cultivation and recognition events.
- Support major fundraising campaigns as directed by ED and strategic plan.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, especially individual giving.
- Proven ability to cultivate and solicit individual gifts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM databases.
- Goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
This is a part‑time position of initially 10 hours a week.
Salary: $30/hour
Possibility of hybrid work environment to be determined.
