Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Cardiology

Overview

Geisinger s Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the growing cardiology department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

• 10-hour day shifts are optional
• Collaborate with the physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients referred to the cardiology service
• Demonstrates autonomy through patient evaluations, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care
• Manage and assist in the smooth, efficient operations of the inpatient cardiology patient, outpatient cardiology clinic, cardiac labs and outreach cardiology clinics
• Order testing as deemed necessary and remain proficient in interpreting results and prescribing appropriate medication regimen within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner

• Education:
  
  Master s Degree - Nurse Practitioner (Required)
• Certification(s) and License(s):
  Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners;
  Basic Life Support Certification;
  Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) – RN
• Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania
