Job DutiesThe Acute Pain RN is a clinical position working directly with the Anesthesia team and OR team. This position will be dedicated to OSW and provide cross coverage at GMC when volume dictates. The Acute Pain RN provides comprehensive patient-centered pain management to optimize recovery, including multimodal pain management and opioid-sparing techniques. In addition, the Acute Pain RN provides oversight during minor sedation events, continually monitoring the pain management plan for the patient, in collaboration with the Anesthesiologist.
This role is 24 hours weekly; 8-hours shifts; 6:30a - 12p; hours can vary based on case volume.
Location will be primarily at OSW within the Pre / Post and OR.
Sedation Certification required within 18 months of hire.

Education:
Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year-Related work experience (Preferred)
Certification(s) and License(s):
Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - of Pennsylvania
