- The RN Pediatric Procedural Sedation assesses, plans, organizes, performs and evaluates nursing activities to meet the needs of pediatric patients receiving procedural sedation.
- Provides health education to parents and patients pre and post sedation.
- Initiates and interprets hemodynamic monitoring parameters.
- Coordinates efforts of the multidisciplinary team in planning patient care.
- Evaluates effectiveness of sedation plan.
- This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; 10-hour shifts; 7:00 a.m.
- 5:30 p.m. - A minimum of 3 years RN work experience is required; previous experience in Pediatrics and Procedural Sedation is strongly preferred.
- Collaborates with the department secretary to schedule procedures.
- Reviews patients medical record for sedation risk assessment criteria.
- Participates in the teams Performance Improvement activities.
