Geisinger is offering a part‑time Inpatient Registered Nurse position at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital. The role provides a minimum hourly rate of $41.50, with increased rates for experienced individuals, an additional $5 float premium, and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

• Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Formulate, coordinate, and provide a patient and family plan of care, including education, family needs, and discharge planning, in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies per policy and procedure.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plans based on patient response.
• Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other team members to proactively resolve patient needs.
• Troubleshoot and take corrective measures related to patient care equipment.
• Participate in unit‑based decision making regarding evidence‑based practice.
• Act as a team member toward unit and organization goals and be accountable for unit and system metrics.
• Participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.

• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) – RN;
  State of Pennsylvania license.
• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program – Nursing (required);
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (preferred).
• Inpatient nursing and pediatric nursing skills.
• Ability to float shift assignments across Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.

Part‑time, 24 hours per week, evening shifts with rotating weekend and holiday shifts.
