Role Overview
The RN Pediatric Procedural Sedation assesses, plans, performs, and evaluates nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing procedural sedation.
Provides health education to patients and parents before and after procedures, initiates and interprets hemodynamic monitoring, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
Reviews patient records for sedation risk and participates in performance improvement activities.
Coordinates scheduling and ensures adherence to safety and procedural protocols.
Minimum of 3 years RN experience, preferably in Pediatrics and Procedural Sedation.
Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
Conducts nursing activities related to pediatric procedural sedation, provides patient and family education, interprets monitoring data, and evaluates sedation effectiveness.
Ensures safety protocols are followed and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
Acts as a team collaborator, supporting seamless patient care and procedural coordination.
