Registered Nurse – Pain Management – Per Diem

Role Overview:

The Registered Clinic Nurse provides primary nursing support, assisting physicians and patients in diagnosis and treatment, while promoting patient education and adherence to care plans.

• Acts as clinic lead, overseeing workflow and staffing; triages patient calls; collects medical histories, vital signs, and prepares patients for examinations.
• Assists with invasive procedures, manages laboratory specimen collection, and ensures accurate documentation.
• Administers medications, including IV push, oral, and topical forms, and manages IV therapy such as conscious sedation and intrathecal pump maintenance.
• Monitors patient condition during procedures, educates patients on treatments, and ensures proper operation of diagnostic equipment.
• Maintains sterile techniques, prepares procedure rooms, and educates staff and patients.

• Requires graduate from specialty nursing training, at least one year of RN experience preferred, and competencies in sterile technique and medication administration.
• Must complete annual competencies in radiation safety and advanced cardiovascular life support.
