In 2024 we visited Chuck’s garden in the spring. This year Chuck has invited us to return for a late summer tour of his wonderful garden in Chester County, PA. The water features found throughout the gardens will be alive with amphibians. Have fun spotting frogs,toads, and salamanders. Chuck describes his garden below.

When we moved here thirteen years ago, we promptly began planting gardens in what had mostly been a yard of grass. We have 3/4 of an acre filled with many different garden rooms throughout the yard. There are ten water features in the gardens; many of them are fountains which Chuck designed. The garden entertainment room had previously been a run-down shed but was totally renovated and repurposed into an enjoyable space.

A wood burning stove was added to allow us to make use of this room in the coldest of weather. Visit ‘Highland Manor’ on Facebook to see more photos of our garden.

Please Note:

We recommend you wear good walking shoes. There are a few uneven surfaces on some of the trails in the garden but most of the ground is level and easy to walk through.

This is a Members Only event, but registration is required. $5 per attendee. Maximum number of guests is 20.

This tour is full, waitlist being formed.

Our visit will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025 in clear skies or light rain. If we have heavy rain, this event will be held on the Rain Date Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
