Imagine utilizing your automotive or customer service expertise daily with both wholesale and retail customers, leading your team, and helping NAPA become the market's leading parts supplier. If this resonates with you, NAPA seeks a passionate Assistant Store Manager. This role is ideal if you:

Responsibilities

  • Create a superior customer service experience to maximize market penetration, store growth, sales, and profitability.
  • Provide daily leadership and foster a culture of employee engagement.
  • Partner with teammates to drive store initiatives.
  • Care about people and profit.
  • Support your team and manage store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Build, coach, and engage your team to deliver excellent customer care and achieve business results.
  • Manage inventory, assets, safety, and operational issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of all store areas.
  • Implement operational and marketing programs while seeking continuous process improvements.
  • Enhance customer relationships and ensure positive experiences both in-store and via phone.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade schooling is a plus.
  • Experience or willingness to learn about the automotive aftermarket or DIY hobbies.
  • Passion for customer care and building long-term relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Preferred: background in automotive, heavy equipment, farm, marine, or dealership industries.
  • Experience in parts stores, auto body, retail, or fast food management is a plus.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • ASE Certifications and NAPA Know How are advantageous.
