Job Summary
The DoD Skill Bridge program allows eligible service members to complete hands‑on civilian training during their final 180 days of active‑duty service. Participants join Geisinger on a permissive temporary duty assignment, gaining valuable experience that supports career transition while contributing to work that improves lives and strengthens communities. The program is open to all ranks, both enlisted and officer. While participating, individuals remain on active duty, receive military compensation, and retain full benefits.
Participation is mission dependent and requires approval from the unit commander before any agreement with Geisinger.
Participants will engage in hands‑on training and real‑world contributions across a wide range of career paths, building skills and confidence for long‑term civilian success.
