Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist
CMSU is looking for a motivated and dependable person willing to provide prevention services involving schools and the community. These prevention services include drug and alcohol education and training to school students and staff. CMSU provides excellent benefits and longevity increases. This role focuses on delivering prevention programs and educational outreach in schools and community settings. As a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
- Program Delivery: Provide prevention programs in schools to increase awareness of drug and alcohol use
- Educational Outreach: Disseminate materials that inform students, staff, and families about substance use issues
- School Collaboration: Work with local school districts to educate school communities
- Community Engagement: Participate in coalitions and groups that focus on reducing ATOD use among students
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist Trainee; or
- A Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Education, the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related fields and one year experience in drug and alcohol prevention work; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
