Drug & Alcohol Case Management Specialist
As a Drug & Alcohol Case Management Specialist with the Columbia-Montour-Snyder-Union (CMSU) County Drug & Alcohol Services, you will help clients move forward with confidence and support. This role gives you the opportunity to use your skills in planning, communication, and outreach. You will work in an environment that encourages independence and sound judgment. CMSU provides a competitive salary and great benefits to provide much needed assistance to individuals with drug and/or alcohol related issues. On day one of employment, employees begin earning paid vacation and sick time. In addition to vacation and sick time, CMSU provides four (4) personal days per year and 15 paid holidays. CMSU also provides health, dental, and vision insurance to staff.
Tuition reimbursement for graduate and undergraduate courses both in-person or on-line is also available. CMSU staff also qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
This position provides direct case management services to clients with drug and alcohol needs while following established policies and exercising sound judgment. As a Drug & Alcohol Case Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
- Client Assessment: Complete assessments for all referred clients
- Care Planning: Develop service plans and link clients with community resources
- Treatment Monitoring: Track treatment progress and conduct required follow-up
- Provider Coordination: Liaison with providers to ensure coordinated services
- Crisis Support: Engage in crisis intervention to stabilize clients
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the opportunity to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Drug and Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee; or
- A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Dependency, Sociology, Social Welfare, Psychology, Nursing or a related field; and one year direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting; or
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 18 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, criminal justice or other related social sciences; and one year direct service experience performing counseling or case management work in alcohol or other drug treatment setting; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
