The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a special education teacher for our public therapeutic day school, Middlefork School. Special eduation teachers in our school have 6-8 kids per caseload. Lots of support is offered the new teachers in the area of IEP writing, lesson planning, and student de-escalation. Teachers are provided with mentorship from a board certified behavior analyst.
All classroom have support of a paraprofessional!
The Vermilion Association for Special Education offers tailored professional development opportunities at no cost to the teacher. A $3,000 sign-on bonus and a $1500 bonus is offered every three years of service as a retention incentive.
Applicants must have proper Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educators Licensure (LBS-1).
