Job Overview
The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a full or part‑time school nurse to serve our public therapeutic day school.
Responsibilities- Obtain school registration documents
- Distribute medications and check vitals
- Assess illness and check blood sugar
- Provide professional development to staff
- Conduct medical reviews and make educational recommendations for special education students
- Occasionally assist within multiple school sites in districts served by the Vermilion Association for Special Education
- Preferred: ISBE Type 73 School Service Personnel – School Nurse Certification. If not held, willingness to take certification course offered through the Illinois State Board of Education.
- Work for the course may be completed within contractual hours.
- Credentials considered: RN, LPN, BSN.
Position is full‑time; part‑time would also be considered.
Salary and BenefitsSalary and benefits are based on years of experience and credentials.
