Job DescriptionGeneral Definition of Work
Under the supervision of the Principal, the teacher plans, organizes, and implements an instructional program that guides and encourages students to develop and achieve their potential.
Essential FunctionsInstruct students according to the curriculum, including assessment and review processes. Plan, develop, write, and implement lesson plans aligned with district and state requirements, maintaining records of student achievement and tracking abilities. Collaborate with staff and other teachers. Comply with school rules and board policies. Participate in faculty meetings and committees as appropriate. Perform other school duties and assignments as assigned.
Education and ExperienceMust hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with appropriate endorsement.
