Electrical Design Supervisor Job Responsibilities

• Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.
• Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.
• Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.
• Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.
• Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.
• Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
• Researches and assesses best practices, to propose methods and improvements.
• Works on special projects, as directed.
• Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. (Degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology, and Engineering Science may also be accepted.)
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management, and customers as required.
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.
• Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.
• Advanced level of specific software tools and programming skills.
• Experience in control system design, analog and digital control.
• Electronic circuit design utilizing ORCAD schematic capture (or similar).
• Experienced in troubleshooting hardware issues from system level to board level to component level.
• Motion control experience.
• FPGA / VHDL programming experience.
