Responsibilities- Maintains, installs, converts, and configures slot machines on assigned shifts according to departmental plans. Participates in a team-oriented environment.
- Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow associates, ensuring optimum guest service is maintained.
- Performs daily or scheduled preventative maintenance on gaming devices (validator units, ticket printers, card readers) as specified by the slot performance supervisor.
- Consistently follows machine entry and repair procedures to proactively identify or prevent equipment problems.
- Maintains and repairs electronic circuitry of all Slot Operations related equipment.
- Safeguards all assigned assets during installation, build, conversion, or reconfiguration.
- Uses approved electronic test equipment when repairing or maintaining gaming devices.
- Properly diagnoses faulty equipment and troubleshoots to the sub-system level (e.g., hopper, comparator, MPU board).
- Safely operates shop equipment, including hand tools, welding, soldering, and test equipment; maintains proper documentation on department repair logs, shift logs, daily shift reports, and J.M.R.s.
- Knows and complies with the gaming compact and all regulatory requirements.
- Knows and complies with company and departmental standard operating procedures.
- Maintains the shelf validator, ticket printer, and card reader stocks at predetermined quantities in the slot performance shop.
- Completes projects and machine moves as assigned.
- Interacts with other departments in a professional, courteous manner.
- Assists with validator software upgrades as they are released by vendors.
- Performs other duties as necessary to improve operational direction.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Associate degree from a college, university, or trade school, or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- One year of Slot department experience strongly preferred; must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the Virginia Lottery.
- Must be able to maneuver in and around the casino and public areas.
- Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and reach above your head and must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
- Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, and handle currency, coins, and keys.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when dealing with difficult guests and employee conflicts.
- Must be able to speak distinctly and persuasively to others.
- Must be able to respond to visual cues and be able to distinguish between colors.
- Must be able to tolerate and work in areas containing secondhand smoke, loud noises, bright lights, and dust.
- Ability to differentiate between various denominations of currency and coin.
Wage - $18.25/hr
