General FunctionThe Person al Banker I position provides a superior customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The banker processes teller transactions and works as a member of the platform staff, using consultative sales and service to address customers' financial needs throughout the lifecycle.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Build a memorable customer experience by proactively engaging with customers in person, over the phone, or through other appropriate channels.
- Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs and tailor recommendations, solutions, and advice.
- Maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered by the bank.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved.
- Analyze customer credit data and other financial information to ensure customers are placed in appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
- Provide customer support that reinforces the value of current and new technology.
- Process teller transactions in compliance with balancing guidelines.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies, modeling ethical behavior expected of every employee.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED with at least 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree, or equivalent military experience.
- Ability to develop comfort with new household acquisitions and deepen existing customer relationships.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills representing Fifth Third Bank.
- Strong business acumen and sound decision‑making ability.
- SAFE Act registration required through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) at the time of employment.
Normal office environment with extended computer screen viewing. Base salary range: $43,680.00 – $69,900.00 annually.
