Greets and directs all individuals and visitors in a courteous and professional manner; verifies demographics and insurance information on all individuals and enters any updates/changes into the Electronic Health Record (EHR); notifies staff of individuals’ arrival; answers and directs incoming calls to staff as appropriate; receives all incoming faxes and forwards them by email to appropriate staff; date-stamps and distributes mail;
schedules individual appointments for the psychiatrist, nurse practitioner, nursing staff, and clinicians; schedules hospital discharge appointments with the clinical staff as needed; enters appointments into the EHR and Just In Time (JIT) spreadsheet; initiates appropriate AOB form with individual; conducts financial assessments and reassessments in a courteous, professional manner; provides assistance to clinical staff in obtaining initial intake information; enters data associated with financial assessments and initial intake information;
enters data and generates reports as needed; verifies insurance information through automated eligibility portals on individuals scheduled for services and notifies clinical staff of any changes; receives and receipts monies for services; triage to assess consumer needs and urgency providing each individual with support in completing paperwork and appointment tasks, including but not limited to intake paperwork, updating contact and other information;
informing individuals of services the Agency provides; manage staff queues; inform individuals waiting for services with apprised wait times and what to expect; serves as back-up to other Senior Secretaries as needed. Other duties as assigned.
