The Houseperson is responsible for completing task that assist in keeping hotel areas and rooms ready for our guests by supporting other housekeeping staff .
How You Will Create the ExtraordinaryResponsible for conducting daily inspections of all areas cleaned by the Maintains housekeeping linen room on each floor, stocks with linen and supplies ensuring adequate level of supplies.
Responsible for counting and distribution of clean linen to both Room Attendant carts as well as linen closets.
Pick upused linen from Room Attendant’s carts, drops linen down chute to carts that are then taken to laundry room.
Pick up linen and garbage from housekeeping carts throughout the day
Assists Room Attendants with stripping beds, emptying trash, bringing fresh linen and other related responsibilities.
Delivers requested guest amenities including pillows,additional beds,blanket sand other items.
Maintain the cleanliness of the guest room floors and storage closets as needed.
When needed,makeup rooms.
Follow all necessary safety procedures including Blood Borne Pathogens and Personal Protective Equipment.
Must be able toidentifyand report safety concerns or maintenance deficiencies for proper handling.
Adheres to departmental and company policies.
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Perform duties with cleaning chemicals and equipment including carpet/floor care.
Perform special projects assigned by supervisors
Follow safety and security procedures.
Obtain cleaning supplies needed from supply room
Sign for keys prior to starting shift
Required to empty bag on vacuum cleaner daily
At the end of shift, turn in keys, supplies, and sign computer assignment sheet to the appropriate locations
Addressing guest queries and solving special requests
Remove soiled linen from guest rooms
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Perform duties with cleaning chemicals and equipment including carpet/floor care.
Perform special projects assigned by supervisors
Adheres to departmental and company policies.
Assist laundry attendant with transporting the linen from loading dock drop off location to Housekeeping Laundry Depot
Operates equipment, including vacuum cleaners, radio, phone, mop, and broom.
Ability to push up to 50 pounds daily for the duration of shift
What You Will NeedHS diploma or GED.
Casino/Hotelexperiencepreferred.
Experience with in an upscale hotel preferred.
Prior experience as a Room Attendant preferred but not required.
Demonstrated ability inmaintainingconsistent, high quality service levels; prior experience in supervising work units; history of developing employees who have been successfully promoted to increasing levels of responsibility;track recordof managing a department that provides excellent service to guests.
Must have schedule flexibility including evenings, weekends, holidayshiftsand overtime, as needed.
Musthave a positive team-oriented attitude.
