General Custodian - 5072 – Averett University, Danville, VA

Compensation: $12.00 / hour

Sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, carpet extraction, floor stripping and waxing, trash removal, recycling, sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms, polishing exterior areas within 10 feet of entryways, window washing, snow and ice removal, cleaning desks, walls, furniture, doors, glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures. Perform any other duties directed by the custodial supervisor or designated representative.

• High school diploma preferred, but not required
• Previous cleaning experience a plus

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull. Exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Extensive walking and standing for the duration of the shift. Work with varying temperatures from hot to cold. Mobility sufficient to meet production and service time frames established by the company.
