Position Summary

Aero Farms is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead all warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and lot traceability.

This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, food safety compliance, inventory accuracy, and on-time customer fulfillment. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capabilities, deep knowledge of food manufacturing warehouse operations, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Operations
  • Oversee daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure safe, accurate, and timely processing of all materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure 100% order fulfillment through accurate picking, packing, labeling, and loading.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to optimize transportation scheduling, dock operations, and delivery performance (7 days/week operation).
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders in ERP; inspect load quality and prevent contamination.
  • Partner with FSQA to ensure proper sampling and compliance with FDA and USDA GMP requirements.
  • Prepare and validate shipping documentation, Bills of Lading, and ERP transactions for all outbound shipments (finished goods, equipment, chemicals, waste).
  • Monitor carrier performance and maintain comprehensive shipping and receiving logs.
  • Manage indirect material inventory (labels, wraps, pallets, liners) required for efficient operations.
  • Maintain FIFO practices and continuously improve SOPs, work instructions, and gap assessments.
Inventory Management
  • Develop and enforce warehouse inventory SOPs to ensure world-class inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Partner with Materials Management and Procurement to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete stock.
  • Implement efficient replenishment and Kanban systems with Production teams.
  • Ensure proper labeling, ERP transactions, and material transfers between on-site and off-site storage.
Lot Traceability & Compliance
  • Maintain robust lot traceability procedures for raw materials, packaging, chemicals, seeds, and nutrients.
  • Ensure full trace-back capability in the event of a recall.
  • Maintain compliance with FDA and USDA GMP regulations.
  • Conduct periodic audits to verify traceability accuracy and documentation integrity.
Team Leadership
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop Shipping & Receiving team members.
  • Provide daily leadership, prioritization, and performance management.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Actively contribute to Plant Leadership initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
Quality & Safety
  • Enforce quality, security, and trailer seal standards to protect product integrity.
  • Collaborate with FSQA to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and lean warehouse environment.
  • Champion employee safety and food safety at all times.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred), or 5+ years of progressive warehouse leadership experience in food manufacturing.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within warehouse or logistics operations.
  • Experience working in FDA/USDA regulated food manufacturing environments.
