Shipping and Receiving Technician – Day Shift (6 A.M.
- 6 P.M.)
Pay: $18.00/hour
Benefits include enrollment in 401(k), Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, PTO, and more.
Schedule based on a 2-2-3 pattern, alternating weekends.
Job DescriptionReporting to the Plant Manager and Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Technician will be responsible for:
- Preparing and sending reports to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and Operations Manager.
- Working independently and as a team to achieve leadership and company goals.
- Coordinating with the packaging team to ensure shipments are on time for customer deliveries and pickups.
- Using FIFO rotation for inventory.
- Conducting daily finished goods inventory and inputting data into the ERP system.
- Following all policies and procedures to ship product out to customers.
- Using a computer to input finished goods inventory, product losses, and email communication from the Sales team on orders.
- Inputting inventory and creating invoices in the SAGE ERP system.
- Conducting pre‑shipment quality evaluations before shipments to ensure the highest quality and following standard guidelines for each customer.
- Organizing all paperwork for CCP, pre‑ship evaluation, and invoices.
- Ensuring all samples are packed out and of the highest quality and ready in the finished goods cooler.
- Completing a 95% or above picking rate.
- Shrink‑wrapping all pallets and using an electric forklift to stage the product to the shipping dock.
- Managing time to make sure all product is ready to be shipped on time.
- Ensuring all incoming customer trucks are within temperature specification and cleanliness guidelines.
- Having superior customer service skills when dealing with customers picking up product.
- Ensuring all product is organized in the finished goods cooler.
- Ensuring each product has a quality retain.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months prior experience in packaging.
- 6 months prior experience in shipping/receiving required.
- Basic English reading, writing, understanding, and speaking skills (required).
- Ability to work in a cold environment (< 40°F) for long periods of time.
- Availability to work weekends is a must.
- Ability to respect and maintain confidential information.
- Teamwork capability.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to drive an electric forklift after training.
- Time management skills to meet shipping deadlines.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to use scales, calculators, and computer.
