RDC Material Handler - 2nd shift, 3pm-11pm Job Description Position Description

Title: Material Handler

Department: Operations

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Position

Purpose:

The Material Handler moves supplies throughout the plant.

• Utilizing powered industrial trucks, moves raw materials to the production lines, organizes assigned work area, and stages finished product as per instructions from supervisor.
• Tracks and sorts inventory while loading trailers for outbound shipment and assures accuracy of materials and products entering and exiting production facility
• Completes required paperwork
• Relieves in production as assigned and trained
• Performs all work in a safety-first mentality
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2+ years warehouse/distribution center experience, including previous powered industrial truck experience required.
• Ability to become licensed for Powered Industrial Truck usage under IPG protocols.
• Must have the ability to meet objectives with minimum supervision.
• Must have basic computer skills, math skills, and English written communication skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis
• Ability to consistently lift arms and work within full range of arm motion
