Monday - Friday2:30 pm - 11:30 pmHow You Will Help the Team As an ATDM Precision Manufacturing Technician – CNC Machining, you’ll be a key part of keeping the training labs running smoothly day in and day out. Your work happens on the shop floor, side‑by‑side with instructors and students, making sure machines are set up correctly, tooling is ready, and labs stay on schedule.
You’ll help prepare CNC machines for hands‑on training, support instructors during lab activities, and step in to troubleshoot issues as they come up. This role isn’t about standing back—it’s about being present, hands‑on, and dependable. When the lab runs well, students learn better, instructors stay focused, and the program succeeds. Your work directly supports that outcome.
Every shift, you’ll help create a safe, organized, and professional shop environment where learning feels like real‑world manufacturing—not a classroom simulation.
Your Knowledge & Expertise High school diploma or equivalent required.
Precision Machining Technology diploma or equivalent hands-on CNC experience.
Experience setting up and operating CNC milling and/or turning equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.Working knowledge of precision measuring tools.
Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and reliability.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Your ScheduleATDM Instructors and Technicians are assigned shifts based on training needs. Your pay will include a shift differential based on the class times you are assigned to support. Typical hours for the roles are below:
First shift: 6:30 a.m.
- 3:30 p.m.Second shift: 2:30 p.m.
- 11:30 p.m.Third shift: 10:30 p.m.
- 7:30 p.m.What Makes Working Here DifferentATDM isn’t a production shop, and it isn’t a classroom—it’s something in between. The work is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and always changing. You won’t be making the same part every day. Instead, you’ll support a wide range of machining activities tied to real‑world skills that students will use in advanced manufacturing careers.
The equipment is modern, the expectations are high, and safety and quality matter. You’ll work with people who know their trade, take pride in what they do, and understand the importance of showing up prepared and ready to help the team.
What makes this role different is the impact. The work you do helps train the next generation of skilled manufacturing workers—many of whom go on to support defense and advanced manufacturing industries. If you like steady work, good equipment, and knowing your skills are making a real difference, this is a place where that matters.
