Registered Nurse; RN Operating Room

Registered Nurse – OR salary with $20,000 sign‑on bonus eligibility – Monday‑Friday, typically 8‑hour shifts.

Rotating call schedule: variable weekday call from 3:00PM‑7:00PM. No weekend call. Schedule subject to change based on department and patient care needs.

Our 10‑room surgical suite supports a wide range of specialties with 17 surgeons utilizing block time. Nurses have the opportunity to circulate and assist in procedures across:

• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• OB/GYN
• Urology
• ENT
• Spine
• Pulmonary

We utilize advanced technology, including Mako and da Vinci robotic systems, reflecting our commitment to best practices and a patient‑first approach.

With many nurses on the unit having 15+ years of experience, mentorship and hands‑on training are readily available. Multidisciplinary teamwork sets us apart, with a shared goal of delivering safe, high‑quality, compassionate care close to home.

• Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Prepare, position, and transport patients for procedures.
• Prepare surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies; validate proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure.
• Assess and care for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre‑procedure and post‑procedure care.
• Operate specialized equipment and maintain a safe environment.
• Account for use of supplies during surgical/endoscopy procedures.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

• Current VA RN license.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
