Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room
Pay: $20,000 sign‑on bonus eligibility.
Schedule:
3‑12 hour shifts (every other weekend), 7A‑7P, 7P‑7A.
Job Location Type:
In Person.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed.
- Current VA RN license or compact state RN license.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Experience in acute care hospital preferred.
- American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) within 6 months.
- Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) preferred.
