Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medical/Surgical - Days
Salary: $15,000 sign-on bonus eligibility.
Schedule:
3-12 hour shifts 7A-7P.

In Person.
Acute care medical-surgical unit 24-bed unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; 1:10 CA-to-nurse ratio. Diverse patient population including medical, surgical, testing, and observation patients. Common comorbidities: diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal, and psychiatric conditions. Strong team culture, improved nurse communication, and commitment to Sovah Health core values.
How you'll contribute- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medication.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Assists RN with development of plan of care.
- Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Applicants must have a degree/diploma from a practical nursing school.
- A current VA (or Multi-state) LPN license.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Experience in clinical area preferred.
