Registered Nurse – Telemetry/PCU

Location:

Danville, IL – In Person

Shift schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts (7A‑7P or 7P‑7A). Sign‑on bonus: $20,000 (eligible).

The Telemetry & Progressive Care Unit (PCU) has 38 beds: 24 telemetry beds (nurse‑to‑patient ratio 1:6) and 12 progressive care beds (1:4).

• Chest pain, arrhythmias, post‑cardiac catheterization
• Post‑pacemaker or ICD implant
• Respiratory distress, renal failure, pulmonary embolism
• Vascular interventions requiring high‑risk anticoagulation
• Stable post‑STEMI patients
• High‑level oxygen support, IV drips, DKA
• Post‑operative and medical patients requiring enhanced monitoring

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Document timely and appropriately in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; RN license (VA or Multi‑state).
• Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred clinical experience in telemetry or progressive care.
• AACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in a high‑acuity setting.
