Registered Nurse – Telemetry/PCU
Location:
Danville, IL – In Person
Shift schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts (7A‑7P or 7P‑7A). Sign‑on bonus: $20,000 (eligible).
About the UnitThe Telemetry & Progressive Care Unit (PCU) has 38 beds: 24 telemetry beds (nurse‑to‑patient ratio 1:6) and 12 progressive care beds (1:4).
Patient Population- Chest pain, arrhythmias, post‑cardiac catheterization
- Post‑pacemaker or ICD implant
- Respiratory distress, renal failure, pulmonary embolism
- Vascular interventions requiring high‑risk anticoagulation
- Stable post‑STEMI patients
- High‑level oxygen support, IV drips, DKA
- Post‑operative and medical patients requiring enhanced monitoring
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
- Document timely and appropriately in the medical record.
- Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; RN license (VA or Multi‑state).
- Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Preferred clinical experience in telemetry or progressive care.
- AACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Experience in a high‑acuity setting.
