Job Summary
Geisinger Medical Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Neurology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Neurosciences team in Danville, Pennsylvania.
Position Highlights- Work within a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, APPs, nurses, and specialty support staff.
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of diverse neurological conditions.
- Opportunities to support specialized programs such as stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular disease, movement disorders, memory and general neurology.
- Access to state-of-the‑art imaging and diagnostic resources across Geisinger’s neurosciences service line.

- Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop patient‑centered care plans.
- Conduct follow‑up visits, medication management, and patient counseling.
- Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR.
- Engage in patient and family education and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Spans Geisinger’s three main campuses in Danville, Wilkes‑Barre, and Scranton, along with locations in State College and Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Our program includes most neurology and neurosurgery subspecialties along with neurology and neurosurgery residency programs. Geisinger has a specific focus on quality not quantity and developing new management pathways for optimal outcomes.
Qualifications- Physician Assistant:
Graduate of an ARC‑approved physician assistant program, eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and by the State Board of Medicine. - Nurse Practitioner:
Certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners, eligible or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, and certified to work with all patient population age groups. - Basic Life Support Certification.
