Geisinger is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team supporting care for adults and adolescents at the Geisinger Behavioral Health Center in Danville, PA. The FNP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, patient centered care.
Job Duties- Perform comprehensive medical assessments.
- Provide medication management, evaluations, and daily patient rounding.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, and case managers.
- Document all care in the Epic electronic health record.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate care transitions.
- Communicate with families, caregivers, and community providers to support continuity of care.
Patient population: 75% adult, 25% pediatric (age 14+)
Daily encounters: 10–16
Resources: onsite pharmacy and phlebotomy services; EHR is Epic
Work Schedule:
Rotating 3 days on, 4 days off

- Certificate of completion from an approved Nurse Practitioner program or eligible to hold national certification allowing the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position.
- Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
- Preferred:
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; experience using Epic. - Education:
Master’s Degree - Nurse Practitioner (Required). - Certification(s) and License(s):
Basic Life Support Certification;
Certified Nurse Practitioner – American Academy of Nurse Practitioners;
Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania). - Skills:
Care Management Knowledge, Clinical Policies and Standards, Health Information Documentation, Patient Assessment and Care, Patient Safety, Patient Rights.
