American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg position on a night shift schedule, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Details- Work on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit within an academic community hospital setting
- Serves patients of all ages
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Uses Meditech EHR system
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed
- On-call responsibilities as needed
- Floating required as needed
- Active RN license (Virginia or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Handle With Care (HWC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred
- Professional demeanor expected
- Provide Med/Surg nursing care within an academic community hospital that has served the region for over 120 years
- Facility features comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, cardiac rehabilitation, medical and radiation oncology, and two cath labs
- Designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Scrubs of any color accepted, but no casual attire permitted
- Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
