American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift (7P-7A) travel assignment requiring an active VA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Details- Work in a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit within a 250-bed academic community hospital
- Unit serves patients of all ages
- Maintains a 1:6 patient ratio
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend work required
- As-needed call requirements
- As-needed floating requirements
- Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
- Current BLS, HWC (available on-site), and NIH certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred
- Provide medical-surgical nursing care to patients across all age groups
- Professional demeanor expected on the unit
- Scrubs of any color accepted; casual attire not permitted
- Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a criminal questionnaire required
- Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
