Locums Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Board-Certified Locums Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to provide 100% inpatient cardiologycoverage in Mechanicsville, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiology NP who is comfortable working independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist.
Position Highlights- Start Date: September 8,2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday,7:30 AM–4:30 PM
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
- Setting: 100% inpatient
- Daily Patient Volume: Approximately
10–15+ patients, depending on volume - EMR: Epic
- Trauma Level: None
- Weeknight and weekend first call
- Call Ratio: 1:3 to 1:4
- Average Callback: Approximately 2hours
- Provide independent inpatient cardiologycare alongside an Interventional Cardiologist
- Evaluate new cardiology patients and perform follow-up visits
- Conduct inpatient rounding and manage ongoing patient care
- Develop and coordinate treatment plans
- Complete timely clinical documentation in Epic
- Manage discharge planning and coordinatetransitions of care
- Communicate with patients, families,consultants, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide first-call coverage forcardiology patients during assigned weeknights and weekends
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Active Virginia license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Active DEA registration
