Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the ICF Nurse Manager, the Lead Registered Nurse manages the day-to-day nursing operations of the Residential and Day programs, shift management and scheduling, staff training and staff supervision, including selection, performance evaluations and discipline of the nursing staff. Responsibilities include scheduling and ordering supplies; maintaining records; ensuring medication security; distributing and administering medications to individuals; recommending medical plan of care;
providing training to staff; attending interdisciplinary team meetings; responding to on-call incidents as needed; initiating referrals for services as instructed by physicians; monitoring individuals for medication effects and side effects; providing medication education to individuals and their families; and interfacing with community medical professionals.
Minimum Requirements
- M1:
Registered Nurse with a valid RN license to practice in Virginia - M2:
Three years of experience working as an RN or LPN - M3:
At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities - M4:
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.
