American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 5+ years of ED experience and night shift availability.
Details- Work in a 31-bed Emergency Room with 2 triage rooms, with 7 beds utilized for behavioral health or acute patients
- Serves all patient ages
- Patient ratio of 1:4, with exceptions for discharges awaiting transport, admit holds, or high-volume days
- Uses Med Host as the primary ED charting system, with Meditech used for admit holds (EMAR only) and extended behavioral health stays
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating weekends as needed, working every other weekend
- Floating required as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Active RN license (VA or compact) required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS or ENPC
- Handle with Care certification available on-site
- 5+ years of Emergency Department experience required
- Candidates with combined ICU and ED experience will also be considered
- Work in a 250-bed academic community hospital with comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, cardiac rehabilitation, and oncology services
- Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Any scrub color of the traveler's choice is permitted
- Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
- Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
