Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an RN with OR experience for a rotating shift Operating Room position requiring ortho experience and VA or compact RN licensure.

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, NIH
• 1-2 years of OR experience required, with 2+ years preferred
• Ortho experience required
• Motivated, proactive, and professional demeanor desired

• Operating Room unit within a 250-bed academic community hospital offering comprehensive surgical services
• All ages patient population with 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Rotating schedule of two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or as needed
• Call rotations required, primarily on weekends, with occasional overnight weekday call possible
• May be asked to float within scope of practice
• Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center with comprehensive surgical, cardiac, and oncology services
• Navy blue scrubs provided by the hospital
• Consent to random drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
