Compensation

$13.00 to $17.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

• Vacation:
  One week of paid vacation after completing six months of active, full‑time service; an additional week after one year; two weeks on each anniversary thereafter (up to 120 hours after five years).

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information is provided during the interview.
