About the RoleAs a CBRE HVAC Technician, you will maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at facilities through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance. This role falls under the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do- Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine the best course of action for modifications.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
- Deliver output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
- CFC/EPA Certification required.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver’s license required.
- Meet the physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift or carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Authors must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
The minimum rate for the HVAC Technician position is $75,000 annually and the maximum rate is $85,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
