RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides initial and ongoing financial assessments, coordinating financial aspects and services to individuals with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and/or substance use disorders in Supportive Housing; proactively engages individuals in a comprehensive array of financial aspects such as rental calculations and lease negotiations; works with individuals as well as members of housing team to secure and obtain critical financial documentation to formulate accurate rental subsidies;
ensures housing adherence to rent reasonableness, and fair market standards; works with landlords to ensure reasonable accommodations as well will operate as a liaison and support for individuals through lease negotiations; obtains income verification; engage individual in re‑evaluations based on program operation guidelines and will formulate rental violation notices, terminations and appeals; the Supportive Housing Rental Liaison will be responsible for being a liaison between property owners and individuals through financial assistance and guidance;
services will be performed in vivo at a level of intensity necessary to promote individual empowerment;
Supportive Housing Rental Liaison participates as an Intensive Community Services team member; completes required documentation as prescribed by licensure, Medicaid, managed care groups, other third‑party payers, or other contracted services with regards to clinical services and medical records keeping; and complies with all regulations applicable to program services.
- Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Sociology, or other approved Human Services degree OR Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner in Virginia - Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug‑free workplace.
$43,722 - $76,514, 5% increase for qualified mental health professionals, excellent fringe benefits.
