Sexton Lawn and Landscapes is a full-service landscape company serving Mobile and Baldwin County — residential, HOA, and commercial properties across the Eastern Shore and Gulf Coast. Our Lawn Health and Irrigation departments run year-round treatment programs and service work across hundreds of properties.
Job purposeThe Department Coordinator is the link between the office and the field for Lawn Health and Irrigation. This role owns scheduling, service call intake, estimates, work ticket accuracy, invoicing readiness, and reporting — making sure the work our crews complete is documented correctly and billed without anything falling through.
Key responsibilities- Build and publish the weekly schedule for both departments; handle reschedules and keep clients informed
- Take inbound service calls and enter them accurately at the time of the call
- Prepare and send estimates from technician field notes and company pricing, and track approvals through to scheduled work
- Audit completed work tickets for accuracy — work performed, materials used, approval status — before closing
- Deliver clean, billable tickets to accounting and resolve client invoicing questions
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on production, job costing, and margin for department and leadership meetings
- Maintain material and chemical inventory records, monitor reorder points, and process vendor orders
- Serve as first point of contact for department calls and emails; log and follow up on service requests
Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and data
- Clear verbal and written communication with clients, technicians, and leadership
- Able to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Valid driver's license
Preferred
- Experience in a field service industry such as landscape, HVAC, plumbing, or pest control
- Familiarity with Aspire or a similar field service platform
- Basic turf, landscape, or irrigation terminology

Growth pathYou start on the administrative and business side and gain exposure to budgeting, margin and labor efficiency, pricing, and process improvement, taking on more responsibility as the departments grows.
Work environmentOffice-based, Monday through Friday, with early start times aligned to crew dispatch and occasional property visits. Busiest through April 1 st – October 31 st .
