Let's Play Therapy Center is a pediatric outpatient therapy center in Spanish Fort, AL, dedicated to supporting children and their families. The center provides occupational, physical, speech, and feeding therapy, using each child's strengths to address areas of need. Families are encouraged to actively participate in therapy sessions to learn strategies that can be used s collaborative approach is designed to maximize therapy outcomes and foster a supportive environment for long-term growth and development.

Role Description

The Patient Care Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Spanish Fort, AL, responsible for supporting smooth daily operations and a positive experience for children and their families. This role includes greeting patients and caregivers, managing check-in and check-out processes, and coordinating appointment schedules for multiple therapists. The Patient Care Coordinator will answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and communicate therapy information using professional phone etiquette and clear, compassionate communication.

Day-to-day tasks also include maintaining accurate patient records, coordinating care and follow-up appointments, verifying basic patient & insurance information, and collaborating with clinical staff to ensure timely, organized services. The role involves working closely with families to provide guidance, reinforce therapy plans as directed by clinicians, and support a welcoming, child-friendly environment.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Appointment Scheduling and Care Coordination skills to manage multiple therapists' calendars and patient visits efficiently.
  • Candidates should demonstrate professional Phone Etiquette and clear communication skills when interacting with patients, caregivers, and staff.
  • Candidates should have a working knowledge of Medical Terminology and an understanding of Patient Care principles in a pediatric or outpatient setting.
  • Candidates should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment.
  • Candidates should show empathy, patience, and a family-centered mindset when supporting children and caregivers.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic scheduling or medical record systems is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, therapy, or pediatric office setting is beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training in healthcare administration or related fields is a plus.
