Sunrise Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, has provided the highest level of comprehensive, personalized dermatologic care to patients of all ages in South Alabama and along the Gulf Coast since 2011. We are a full-service dermatology practice specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. With two fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons on staff, we offer on-site diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers at our Skin Cancer Surgery Center.

Medical Receptionists
are the first point of administrative contact for patients in the office. They perform essential office functions, such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in and out.

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival for their appointments.
• Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by ensuring all necessary documentation is collected for treatment, and accurately collects and applies payments for services and products.
• Answers the phone politely and consistently, using proper telephone etiquette; directs calls as needed.
• Facilitates patient flow by notifying clinical staff of arrivals, monitoring potential delays, communicating with patients and staff, and checking patients in and out for their appointments.
• Keeps office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs and monitoring office equipment.
• Learns new products and maintains an accurate inventory of all items.
• Ensures a positive patient experience through excellent customer service.
• Verifies patient health benefits with approved healthcare companies.
• Responsible for scheduling appointments
• Sends out and receives medical records and referrals for patient care.
• Keeps the reception area clean and organized.
• Works in a team environment to accomplish everyday tasks in a collegial manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required .

Experience – 1
-2 years of medical office experience preferred.

Work Style - Must be able to work well independently but ask for help when needed ; able to analyze and interpre t information and interact and decipher information telephonically and electronically.
