Job SummaryThe Branch Manager has overall responsibility for managing the branch including hiring, conducting performance reviews, providing coaching and counseling. The Branch Manager drives financial performance through strong leadership, minimizes losses, reduces risk and provides an excellent customer experience.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Conduct outside sales efforts to generate new clients while maintaining and expanding existing consumer and business banking relationships.
- Manage and grow the existing loan portfolio, consistently monitoring portfolio quality.
- Increase quality loans and revenue generation.
- Generate loan and deposit prospects through civic and community involvement.
- Responsible for branch budgeting and planning.
- Oversee branch staffing, development and performance.
- Maintain relationships with line of business partners and refer customers to internal experts when needed.
- Ensure consistent, quality customer service experience, including handling customers’ transactional needs.
- Follow all bank policies, processes, procedures, internal audit requirements and applicable laws and regulations.
- Lead the team in achieving goals while also being an individual contributor.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
Provide guidance and oversight to the team. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance management; employee compensation; approving expense reports; and addressing concerns and resolving problems.
Position Requirements Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills- 3+ years of banking experience and 1+ year managerial experience or 5+ years of prior banking with emphasis in account opening, customer service and sales.
- Ability to make sound banking decisions, exhibit critical thinking and reasoning ability.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi‑task efficiently and effectively with attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
- Banking School graduate.
- 3+ years of lending experience with specific experience underwriting consumer loans.
- 3+ years of experience making outside sales calls.
- Strong financial analysis and underwriting skills.
- NMLS registration.
