The Lead Cash Register Associate (LCRA) plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient guest transactions while upholding high cashwrap standards. The LCRA takes on a leadership role, mentoring new cashiers and maximizing team collaboration. This position focuses on driving loyalty results through exceptional guest service, effective sales strategies, and precise operational processes.

• Performance:
  • Assist in exceeding store goals regarding retail and service sales, including guest loyalty and inventory control.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by warmly greeting and engaging customers, tailoring services to individual needs.
  • Handles all transactions, including sales, refunds, and exchanges proficiently.
  • Facilitate guest services such as makeup applications and product demonstrations to enhance both the guest experience and sales.
  • Support appointment bookings and the execution of in-store events to elevate the guest experience.
  • Maintain organized and replenished cashwrap displays to ensure a guest‑ready environment at all times.
  • Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality.
• People:
  • Promote an inclusive environment for all team members and guests.
  • Assist management with cashier check‑ins/outs and associate exit inspections.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to better assist guests.
  • Promote the guest loyalty program, creating excitement and accountability for sales and credit goals among associates.
  • Participate in training new cashiers and cross‑training other team members.
  • Lead by example, inspiring colleagues to achieve their best performance.
  • Participate in continuous training to enhance skills and boost sales performance.
  • Collaborate with all team members to foster business growth.
• Process:
  • Ensure adherence to Ulta Beauty's policies and procedures.
  • Follow the dress code set forth by Ulta Beauty.
  • Oversee all transaction completions, ensuring proper cash control at the cashwrap.
  • Perform register opening and closing procedures as directed.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization across all store sections.
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss by following established operating procedures.
  • Execute additional operational tasks as needed.

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience is preferred. Strong background in guest services and driving sales.

Skills: Proficient in basic technology, excellent communication, strong interpersonal abilities, and crisis management skills.

Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
