Position: (USA) Food & Consumables Coach

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching and training, actively listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels regarding store operations, utilizing technology. Implements business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction and introduces change efforts. Provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicates objectives to teams. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and managing customer service initiatives such as community outreach programs.

Ensures customer needs and complaints are resolved by developing and implementing action plans and process improvements. Drives financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing profit/loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses indexed to sales. Monitors merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, mitigating shrink to achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties.

Sets clear expectations, recognizes associates, and promotes a belonging mindset. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth. Coordinates job‑related activities and assignments, building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans, and measuring progress toward goals. Demonstrates continuous learning, adaptability, and compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door policy and ethical standards. Builds high‑performing teams, embraces diversity, and fosters a culture of belonging.

Attracts and retains talent, empowers development, and recognizes contributions. Acts with highest integrity, supports a regenerative company mission, eliminates waste, and participates in community giving. Delivers results with customer‑first focus, data‑driven decisions, and balanced priorities, considering stakeholders. Drives continuous improvements, adopts new technologies, and supports change.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include regional pay zone (RPZ) based on location and complex structure based on external factors.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years’ of college; or 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; or 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position requires successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.

For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state‑specific requirements, I acknowledge that the position may require a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
