Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion, you may also work with other companies’ products in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Starting hourly pay rate: $13.00 to $15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom.
- Part‑time employees may receive voluntary benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.).
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Variable schedule during the work week with average weekly hours between 7–11 hours.
- Availability required in the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising surveys. - Holiday support:
Provide additional days and extended hours during holiday periods such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may also work on actual holiday dates, including weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations and tasks such as building fixtures, relocating card departments, resetting card sections, and other remodel assignments, typically with two weeks’ advance notice. These may occur evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers in the field organization as needed in their territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must be able to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Can lift, pull, and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to operate a digital handheld device for reading documents and accessing information.
- You have a Wi‑Fi network and internet access.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
