Crew Leader Carpenter

Red Branch Outdoor Living is looking for a dependable, experienced Crew Leader Carpenter who takes pride in their craft and enjoys leading a team to build exceptional outdoor spaces.

Do you:

  • Take pride in building projects that actually look great when they're finished?
  • Enjoy leading a crew and setting the standard for quality on a jobsite?

If so, Red Branch Outdoor Living may be a great fit for you.

We build custom decks, covered patios, fireplaces, pergolas, and outdoor kitchens for homeowners who expect high-quality craftsmanship. Our team focuses on doing things the right way, maintaining professional job sites, and building projects we're proud to stand behind.

What We're Looking For:

  • 4+ years of hands-on carpentry experience in residential construction (decks, patios, outdoor structures, framing, or similar).
  • 2+ years of experience leading or supervising a construction crew.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Maintain high standards while staying on schedule
  • Take ownership of the jobsite from start to finish

What We Offer:

  • Above-average pay based on experience (Hourly pay range from $25 - $30, DOE)
  • Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with an occasional Saturday
  • Health insurance options
  • Paid Time Off
  • Consistent, year-round work
  • Opportunity to grow your skills and advance

We believe in building not just structures, but lasting relationships and rewarding careers. If you're ready to take ownership of your projects and be part of a team that values professionalism and craftsmanship, Red Branch Outdoor Living is the place for you. Let's create outdoor spaces that inspire and celebrate life—together.

Candidates must have prior carpentry experience and experience managing a team. Applications without both will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a small carpentry crew on residential outdoor living projects.
  • Building custom decks, pergolas, covered patios, outdoor kitchens, and other outdoor structures.
  • Reading and working from construction plans and project layouts.
  • Ensuring projects are built safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
  • Training and supporting crew members on proper carpentry techniques.
  • Keeping the jobsite clean, organized, and professional.
  • Communicating with the project manager to keep projects running smoothly.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of hands-on carpentry experience in residential construction (decks, patios, outdoor structures, framing, or similar).
  • 2+ years of experience leading or supervising a residential construction crew.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, including framing, decking, trim work, and structural connections.
  • Ability to lay out projects accurately and ensure work meets design specifications.
  • Familiarity with building codes and jobsite safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills with crew members, project managers, and clients when needed.
  • Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards on the jobsite.
  • Skilled at delegating tasks and managing workflow.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
